During World Wars I and II, the company earned a

The
Early Years Founded in 1906 as a trucking firm, Hartford Despatch
provided one of the first daily runs of freight and household goods to
Boston and New York from Hartford. E.G. Mooney purchased the company in
1918.
Mooney
built the first public warehouse in East Hartford in 1920. Eight years
later, he was instrumental in chartering Allied Van Lines, the first
national network of moving companies. |
